15ct demantoid garnet 5 stone ring

A wonderful 15ct rose gold demantoid garnet 5 stone ring. The head of the ring features intricate carved gold detailing and measures 4mm wide and 15mm across the finger. This ring is a UK size M / US size 6 1/4.

Demantoid garnets are known for their exceptional brilliance and dispersion or "fire". It was first discovered in the Ural Mountains of Russia, some 30 years after the discovery of Alexandrite in the same area.Demantoid was a popular gemstone during the Belle Époque period (1890-1915), especially in Art Nouveau jewellery.
