About Wave Antiques

Wave Antiques is built on five generations of family heritage in antique and vintage jewellery. Every jewel we handle tells a story — our role is to preserve that legacy and present it beautifully to our clients around the world.

We are seeking a Website Management / Sales Specialist with strong product photography and e-commerce experience to help us maintain and grow our online presence while supporting client sales and communication. This role blends technical skill, visual sensibility, and deep jewellery knowledge.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role responsible for managing Wave Antiques’ online catalogue, photography, and direct customer sales. You will photograph and upload jewellery to the website, ensuring listings are accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimised. You’ll help uphold the brand’s visual and written aesthetic while engaging directly with customers — both online and in person — to build trust and deliver an exceptional buying experience.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Product Management

  • Photograph jewellery pieces using Orbitvu equipment and edit images using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Upload and build product listings for the website, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all details (titles, descriptions, materials, carat weights, hallmarks, measurements, condition, and period).
  • Write clear, SEO-optimised product descriptions aligned with Wave’s tone and storytelling style.
  • Maintain and refine the site’s visual presentation, ensuring all listings reflect the brand aesthetic.
  • Track product performance and suggest improvements to enhance online engagement and conversion.

Collaboration & Brand Support

  • Work closely with the stock and operations team to ensure new pieces are processed efficiently from intake to website listing.
  • Assist in curating featured collections, seasonal edits, or marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all online content, imagery, and tone align with Wave’s brand identity and visual standards.
  • Provide insights from customer interactions and sales trends to help shape digital strategy and product selection.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proficiency in product photography, including use of Orbitvu or similar studio setups.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury, antique, or fine jewellery retail (B2C).
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience managing product listings and content on e-commerce platforms (Shopify or similar CMS).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles for product descriptions.
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail in both technical and creative copy.
  • Confident and personable in customer-facing situations, with a track record of sales success.

Desirable

  • Jewellery qualifications such as Gem-A (FGA/DGA) or GIA accreditation.
  • Deep knowledge of jewellery history, materials, and design periods.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing principles, including Google Analytics and product metadata.

Personal Qualities

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Creative eye for presentation and brand storytelling.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team.
  • Genuine passion for jewellery, heritage craftsmanship, and client service.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work closely with rare and historically significant jewellery.
  • Training and development in photography, gemstone identification, and sales.
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Competitive salary and performance incentives.
