At Wave Antiques we are proud to support the amazing work that Surfers Against Sewage are doing. Surfers Against Sewage is a grassroots environmental charity that campaigns to protect the ocean and all it makes possible. It was created in 1990 by a group of Cornish surfers, fighting to clean up the sea that was making them sick. Now, Surfers Against Sewage campaigns on all that threatens the ocean - plastic pollution, the climate emergency, industrial exploitation and water quality – by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top.

"Today, there are significant challenges facing the marine environment - and some of the water industry have taken advantage, using CSOs (combined sewer overflows) almost as points of continuous sewage discharge. Plastic pollution is everywhere and requires not only cleaning up but systemic change to create a circular economy.We’ve had a strong start to 2023, growing our robust community, strengthening our volunteer engagement, up-scaling our education programmes and enhancingour campaigns across our four priority issues; Water Quality, Plastic Pollution, Ocean Recovery & the Climate Emergency. All this is underpinned with significantgrowth in the capacity of our talented team. From the beachfront to the frontbench, our Ocean Activists are committed to protecting our natural spaces – our UK wide network is made up of thousands of volunteers, schools, communities and Regional Representatives – all are impassioned about fostering a world where people and planet thrive!"
